This article walks you through creating a new task and associating it with a patent or disclosure.

Steps
Open the Tasks dashboard.
Click Create Task in the top-right corner.
In the Case or Disclosure field, search for the patent or disclosure you want to associate with this task. Select it from the results.
Select a Status for the task: Open, In Progress, Blocked, Completed, or Cancelled.
Select a Due Date using the date picker.
Select a Task Type from the dropdown. The available types depend on whether you selected a patent or a disclosure.
For patents: types include deadline-based tasks like response deadlines and maintenance fees.
For disclosures: types include review and submission tasks.
Select a Priority: High, Medium, or Low.
Click Create task.
The task appears on your dashboard and on the associated patent or disclosure detail page.
Note: The Task Type options change based on whether you selected a patent or disclosure. Select the patent or disclosure first to see the relevant task types.
