Before You Begin

  • You need an active ArcPrime account with the Inventor role. If you received an invitation email, follow the link to create your account. See Creating Your Account and Signing In for help.

  • Your workspace administrator has already set up your role. You do not need to configure anything.

Step 1: Explore Your Navigation

Your navigation bar is simplified compared to what your IP team sees. You will find:

  • Dashboard β€” Your home screen showing any pending tasks, such as signature requests or interview invitations.

  • My Inventions β€” View all invention disclosures you have submitted or been listed on as an inventor.

  • Awards β€” Check the status of inventor awards, including payment history and pending amounts.

Step 2: View Your Inventions

Click My Inventions in the navigation bar. This page lists every disclosure associated with your name. You can see the disclosure title, submission date, and current status. Click any disclosure to view its details.

Step 3: Submit a New Disclosure

If your IP team has enabled self-service disclosure submission, you can submit new inventions directly:

  1. Open the Disclosures section (if visible in your navigation).

  2. Click the option to submit a new disclosure.

  3. Select your input method: upload documents for AI-assisted form filling, or enter information manually.

  4. Fill in the required fields describing your invention. Your IP team will review the submission.

Step 4: Participate in an AI Interview

Your IP team may invite you to an AI interview. This is a conversation (voice or text) where ArcPrime asks you targeted questions about your invention to gather technical details that improve the patent application.

When you receive an interview invitation:

  1. Click the interview link in your email or find it on your Dashboard.

  2. Select Voice or Text mode.

  3. Answer the questions at your own pace. You can pause and resume.

Step 5: Sign Documents

When your IP team needs your signature on assignment documents or declarations, you will see a task on your Dashboard.

  1. Click the signature task to open the document.

  2. Review the document in the viewer.

  3. Add your electronic signature where indicated.

Step 6: Check Your Awards

Click Awards in the navigation bar to view your award history. This page shows pending awards, paid amounts, and payment dates. See Checking Your Award Status for more detail.

What's Next

Your IP team handles the rest of the patent process. You will receive notifications when action is needed from you, such as signing a document or completing an interview. Check the Dashboard periodically to stay current.

Tip: Bookmark your ArcPrime workspace URL for quick access. The Dashboard will always show you if anything needs your attention.
