Correspondence tracking in ArcPrime captures and organizes the email communication related to your patents. Every email, attachment, and document is linked to the correct record, giving you a complete history without manual filing.
Key Capabilities
Automatic email capture — Copy your workspace address on any email that mentions a patent's Internal ID or External ID. ArcPrime files it to that patent.
Threaded conversations — Replies are grouped into threads, so a long exchange with outside counsel reads in order.
Organized by tab — Focused, AI, PTO, Internal, and All tabs separate key filings, AI reports, patent office documents, and team correspondence.
Attachment viewing — PDF, Word, XFA form, image, HTML, and text attachments open in the built-in viewer, and any file can be downloaded.
Send from ArcPrime — Write to outside counsel or inventors with New Mail, and add your own Markdown entries or attachments.
Filing updates by email — Emailing filing documents to your workspace address populates the unfiled case and captures the outside counsel docket number.
How It Works
Each workspace has an address of the form [email protected]. When that address is in the To or Cc line, ArcPrime reads the Internal ID or External ID in the subject. It then links the email to the matching patent, disclosure, or trademark. If no ID is recognized, the sender receives a reply asking them to resend with the ID in the subject.
Open Correspondence in the patent sidebar to see everything captured. Emails and documents are listed by title and date, and clicking an entry shows the full content in the right panel. Outside counsel and paralegals with access to a patent see its email correspondence too, and inventors see emails addressed to them.
