ArcPrime's Office Action Response feature analyzes office actions, identifies the examiner's position on each rejection, and recommends response strategies with draft amendments. Instead of reading dense office actions and cited references by hand, you get a structured breakdown that highlights what matters and suggests how to respond.
Key Capabilities
Structured OA reading — Read the office action with clickable citations that preview the cited passage and open the cited reference beside the text.
AI-generated summary — Review the OA type, rejection statutes, references, response deadline, examiner profile, and prosecution history at a glance.
Per-objection analysis — Drill into each rejection to see the examiner's position, the recommended strategy, and the alternatives considered.
Draft amendments — Review AI-suggested claim amendments with deletions and additions marked, alongside a limitation-by-limitation rationale.
Claim and family landscape — Visualize claim dependencies, compare current claims with the claims as filed, and compare claims across the patent family.
Reference insights — See what each cited reference teaches, where it is weak, and whether it qualifies as prior art.
Notes and export — Attach notes to any passage for your team, and export the final response as a Word document from the export icon in the top row.
How It Works
Open a patent from your patent list. On the patent detail page, click Go to OA Response Recommendation in the Next Task card. You can also open the OA Response Recommendation entry in the patent's correspondence. Click Generate Response and confirm the unit cost. ArcPrime processes the office action, cited references, your application, and prosecution history to produce the analysis.
The results are organized into three groups in the sidebar on the left:
Response holds the Final Response: a complete draft with claim amendments, remarks, and a conclusion.
Global Analysis covers the full office action: OA Summary, Read OA, Understand Application, Claim Landscape, Family Landscape, and Understand References.
Per-Objection Analysis breaks down each rejection with the examiner's position, recommended strategy, draft amendments, and alternative strategies.
The AI assistant panel is available throughout the analysis for follow-up questions about the section you are viewing. Click Spec & Drawings in the top row to open your specification and drawings, plus those of each cited reference, in a side panel.
