ArcPrime's continuation recommendations analyze your patent claims to identify unclaimed subject matter, suggest broadened claims, and recommend targeted claims based on product coverage. Every recommendation now carries a CON Score, so you can rank filings against your own priorities.
Key Capabilities
Unclaimed subject matter — ArcPrime identifies concepts disclosed in the specification but not yet claimed. It drafts a claim for the most valuable one.
Broadened claims — ArcPrime recommends broadening strategies that remove or generalize limiting elements without departing from the specification.
Targeted claims — When deep research results exist, ArcPrime drafts claims designed to improve coverage against a selected product.
CON Score — Every recommendation is scored out of 100 on Coverage Added, Market Coverage, and Taxonomy Fit, with weights you control.
Product mapping — Each candidate claim lists the products it likely reads on, with a relevance percentage. Your own products carry a My product marker.
Family comparison — A side-by-side view of claim concepts and claim elements across the patent family, with crucial elements highlighted.
PDF report and email — When a run finishes, ArcPrime emails you a PDF report with a link back to the recommendation.
How It Works
Open a patent and select CON Recommendation in the sidebar. If no recommendation exists, click Generate. Add an optional custom instruction for the generated claims, then click Generate CON Recommendation. The units cost appears in the window before you confirm.
The analysis runs in the background. When it completes, the page shows a Recommendation: pill (Strong, Mixed, or Weak) and the Score out of 100. The Evaluation Axes for Recommended Concept card shows the points each axis contributed and the reasoning behind them. Each tab then shows the recommended concept, the recommended claim, and a table of every candidate with its own Filing Score.
If ArcPrime finds no concept worth claiming, the tab reads No Claim Recommended and explains why. Review that reasoning before deciding not to file.
Recommendations can also run without you starting them. Workspaces that pay per unit see an Auto-run (units apply) switch at the top of the page. Each automatic run is charged like a manual one and only runs while the application is still pending.
Scoring Weights
Open Settings > AI Recommendations > Continuation to control how the CON Score is calculated. Distribute 100 points across Coverage Added, Market Coverage, and Taxonomy Fit, or click Add Custom Factor to score something specific to your business. New weights apply to future runs only.

Try a Recommendation Without an Account
Open Continuation Recommendations, enter your US application number and email address, and click Send me the reports. ArcPrime checks that the application is a publicly available, pending US utility application before accepting the request. When both analyses finish, you receive the Unclaimed Subject Matter and Broadened Claim reports as PDFs by email.
