How to View and Edit Tasks

Open any prosecution task in ArcPrime to edit fields, update completion status, and change priority assignments

This article covers how to open a task, update its status or priority, and navigate to the associated patent or disclosure.

Viewing a Task

  1. Open the Tasks dashboard.

  2. Click any task row. ArcPrime opens the detail page of the associated patent or disclosure, scrolled to the relevant task.

Each task row shows the docket number and title. Click the row to see all details, documents, and history for that patent or disclosure.

Updating Priority

  1. On the dashboard, find the task you want to update.

  2. Click the flag icon on the left side of the task row. A menu appears with four options:

    • No Priority

    • High (red flag)

    • Medium (orange flag)

    • Low (yellow flag)

  3. Select the new priority. The update saves automatically.

Updating Status

  1. On the dashboard, find the task you want to update.

  2. Click the status icon (the colored circle) on the task row. A menu appears with five options:

    • Open

    • In Progress

    • Blocked

    • Completed

    • Cancelled

  3. Select the new status. The update saves automatically.

When you change a task's status while grouped by status, the task moves to its new group.

Tip: Use keyboard navigation to move through tasks. Press Enter or Space on a focused task row to open it.
