Trademark Intake gives your business one place to request a new mark. Each request gets an automatic knockout search, so your in-house trademark team can review, approve, and instruct outside counsel from one record.
Key Capabilities
Request form — Any workspace member can submit a proposed mark, ranked alternatives, and supporting materials from Trademarks > Intake.
Knockout Search — ArcPrime checks the proposed mark and each alternative against the USPTO and EUIPO registers and recommends Proceed, Caution, or Stop.
Stage tracking — Each request moves through stages from in-house review to filing by outside counsel, with reminders along the way.
Approval to filing — Approving a request creates the trademark with Proposed filings and emails your instructions to outside counsel.
How It Works
Submitting a Request
Open Trademarks > Intake and click Submit Request. The default form asks for a Project code name, a Needed-by date, and the Proposed mark. It also offers Alternatives, ranked, Includes house mark, What will the mark be used for?, and Supporting Materials.
Requesters see only their own requests and the answers they submitted. They do not see the search results or your team's correspondence. Members of the inventor portal do not see Intake.
Reviewing With the Knockout Search
The search starts as soon as a request is submitted. Your in-house team opens the request and reads the Knockout Search report, choosing each candidate in turn under Candidate.
Each candidate shows a Recommendation: of Proceed, Caution or Stop, and a score out of 100. If the search could not score a candidate, both read Unavailable. The score weighs the closest live third-party mark in your classes, by how close it is in spelling, logo, meaning or sound, and distinctiveness for the stated goods. A Similar marks table lists the closest hits with their owner, register status, classes and similarity, and for a mark close in meaning or sound, the grade and why. A Searches run table below it lists each search planned for that candidate and how it ended, including any that failed, were cut off or never ran, with the reason. The same list appears in the PDF report. Older reports and candidates whose analysis failed say their searches were not recorded.
The recommendation is a screening aid, not a clearance opinion. Review the hits before you decide, and treat a partial result as incomplete, since missing results do not mean clearance.
Approving or Rejecting
While a request is in IC reviewing, your in-house team can click Reject or Approve and Send to Outside Counsel. The Approve Intake form collects the counsel, mark type, filing jurisdictions, Nice classes, and Instructions to Outside Counsel.
On approval, ArcPrime creates the trademark with one Proposed filing per jurisdiction and emails the instructions to outside counsel. The new trademark shows an Origin box that links back to the request and its search results.

Getting Started
Your in-house trademark team sets up intake under Settings > Trademarks. Intake Form controls the questions on the request form, and Emails & Reminders holds the email templates and the reminder schedule for each stage.
Note: Intake is part of the Trademarks module. If Intake shows a lock icon, the module is not included in your plan.
