The AI interview is a guided conversation between an inventor and ArcPrime's AI assistant. This article describes what inventors experience from the moment they open the interview link, so you can prepare them and answer their questions.
Key Capabilities
Voice and chat modes -- Inventors choose whether to speak or type. Both modes follow the same structured conversation.
Guided flow -- The AI assistant asks about the technical problem, the proposed solution, how the invention differs from existing approaches, and its commercial context.
File attachments -- Inventors can attach diagrams, specifications, or presentations during the interview and after it ends.
Resume capability -- If a session is interrupted, reopening the link offers Continue Interview or Start Over.
Referral collection -- When enabled for the campaign, the assistant asks whether colleagues might also have patentable ideas.
How It Works
An inventor receives an email with a unique interview link. Opening it shows the Describe Your Invention screen with two choices: Chat with AI or Start Voice Interview.
In voice mode, the browser asks for microphone access, then the assistant speaks its questions aloud. A Transcript panel fills in as the conversation progresses, and an Attached files panel holds anything the inventor adds. The toolbar offers Mute microphone, Pause interview, and End Interview; ending asks for confirmation first.
In chat mode, the assistant opens by asking the inventor to describe the invention. The inventor types replies in the message box, can dictate with the microphone icon, and can click Attach Files. A menu in the corner offers See My Disclosures and Restart Interview.
When the conversation ends, the Interview Complete screen invites the inventor to drop in drawings, specs, or prior emails, then click Got It. ArcPrime processes the transcript and places the extracted ideas on the Idea Triage Board for counsel review.

Getting Started
Inventors need no preparation. When you create a campaign and add inventors, ArcPrime handles the outreach. If a link has expired or was already used, the inventor sees a message explaining why; send new outreach from the campaign to issue a fresh link.
