How to Review Synced Trademark Changes

This article explains how ArcPrime keeps trademark records in step with the USPTO and EUIPO, and how to review the changes it applies.

Prerequisites

  • Your workspace has office sync enabled and holds active US or EU trademark filings.

How the Sync Works

Once a week, ArcPrime fetches the current office record for each active USPTO and EUIPO filing. Supported field changes, including office statuses that match a status in your workspace, are applied to the filing straight away and written to the changelog. You no longer need to pull office updates by hand.

An office status with no matching status in your workspace is never applied on its own. It waits in the Todo tab until someone decides on it. See how to review trademark office updates for that step.

Steps

Reviewing Applied Changes

  1. Open Trademarks > Changelog from the top navigation.

  2. Open the Updates tab. It sits to the right of Todo and is selected by default. Each row shows a mark, the filing (country and application number), the field name, the old and new values, who changed it, and the date.

  3. Rows written by the office sync show no name in the Changed By column. Rows written by a colleague show their name.

  4. Click the chevron on the left of a row to expand every change recorded for that mark.

  5. Click the mark name to open its detail page in a new tab.

Adjusting or Reverting a Change

  1. Click a row in the Updates tab. A change-value modal opens with the field name and the old value. Its title names the filing the change belongs to, with that filing's country code and application number.

  2. To restore the previous value, click Revert to Old Value.

  3. To set a different value, edit the New Value field and click Save New Value, which stays disabled until you change the value. Date fields use a date picker, country fields use a country selector, and US filing basis uses the filing basis selector.

  4. Click Ok to close the modal without changes.

Some entries record a structural change, such as a filing being added, and cannot be reverted here. Edit the trademark directly instead.

Note: Every revert or edit made here is recorded as a new changelog row, so the history stays complete.
